DESCRIPTION:THE CIDER FARM ORCHARD TOUR & CIDER TASTING\nTour The Cider Farm Orchard to see the beautiful trees that give the unusual apple varieties that distinguish our ciders and apple brandy. Learn how we manage them organically and enhance the natural environment of our 166-acre farm near Mineral Point in Wisconsin’s beautiful Driftless Area. You’ll have the opportunity to taste three different ciders made from the orchard’s apples including our limited-release Rosé cider. The tour will be an hour and half.  Afterward\, you are welcome to stay for a picnic and walk the orchard\, woodlands\, and prairie. \n \nMake it a picnic! Bring a picnic blanket or chairs and enhance your orchard‑tour experience with our Charcuterie Box for 1-2\, a generous picnic‑style spread featuring three Wisconsin cheeses and two local cured meats from producers such as Emmi Roth\, Carr Valley\, Laack’s\, Tempesta\, and Fox Heritage. Each box also includes our house‑made pickles\, dried cherries\, pecans\, and an Italian baguette – plus a bottle of The Cider Farm cider to enjoy among the blossoms. Perfect for one to two people\, it’s an easy\, delicious way to linger in the Driftless and savor the afternoon. \nBe sure to select the Cheese & Cider add-on when purchasing your tickets below. \nA few items to note about the tour: \n\nPlease use the FARM address of 7258 Kelly Rd\, Mineral Point to get to the tour and not the address of our restaurant\, Orchard\, in Verona.  But please go there after the tour!\nBe prepared to walk approximately half a mile. The terrain is varied so be prepared for uneven ground\, stones\, and possibly mud.\nWear sturdy footwear.\nAll tour participants must be 21 years or older.\nWe suggest you bring a water bottle\, sun protection and dress for the weather.\nArrival and parking – once you arrive\, follow the parking signs and meet near the farm building.\nPlease note this is NOT a normal orchard. We are not open to the public. Our apples are cider apples and not the apples sold for eating\, baking\, etc.\nPorta-potty on site.\nWater hydrant to refill your water bottles.\nNo picnic tables\, just bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs and find a grassy spot that suits you for the cheese and cider option.\nNo pets allowed.  We have 3 dogs and they think that is plenty.\nNo smoking or vaping.\n\nMeet your tour guide! \nDeirdre Birmingham is co-owner and manager of The Cider Farm.  She started the orchard by taking a grafting class with her husband\, John Biondi\, in 2003 to learn how to make the tannic cider varieties they felt were important to the quality ciders they envisioned.
